The Work of the Historical Committee

The mission of the Historical Committee is to serve as the historical throughline/link from reunion to reunion, preserving a record of our family and reunion history across the years.

Our Work:

Document each past and ongoing reunions
Maintain a database of our Stowe Family genealogy
Collect and maintain historical documents of the reunion
Collect and share family heritage pictures
Work with our family historian, Jeannie Stowe Humphrey, and support reunion planning across the years.

How You Can Help:

Make sure you and your family members sign the Signature Page at the reunion.
Help identify people in reunion and archival pictures.
Provide details about our early reunions.
Donate missing reunion documents, such as reunion programs.
Let us know if you were a scholarship recipient and what year.
Provide pictures of reunion events the committee might be missing.

Historical Committee Request to President and Executive Committee:
(The committee requests the following information at the close of the reunion to properly document the reunion)

Program(s) and documents of that reunion, print and digital
Photo of t-shirt and any memorabilia
Copy of the business meeting agenda and minutes
A summary of reunion highlights. The committee will provide a format.
Names of scholarship awardees
Photos from the official or designated reunion photographer

The mission of the Stowe Family Reunion Historical Committee is to preserve, document, and celebrate the rich heritage of the Stowe family. We are committed to collecting stories, photographs, and records that honor our ancestors, recognize our shared legacy, and inspire future generations. Through education, storytelling, and engagement, we seek to keep the spirit and history of the Stowe family alive for years to come.

Who We Are - Historical Committee Members:

The Stowe Family Reunion Historical Committee is made up of dedicated family members called to preserve, protect, and share the rich spiritual and cultural legacy of our family. Each member serves with a heart for history, a love for family, and a commitment to honoring God through our work.

We gather stories, identify loved ones in treasured photos, collect reunion artifacts, and document the milestones that shape our family journey. We believe our history matters—and by preserving it, we pass on strength, wisdom, and faith to future generations.
